Willie Joseph Young

Special Officer Willie Young was shot and killed in New Orleans, Louisiana, while patrolling the Southern Railway yards.

A passing train crew noticed his body along the tracks near Press Street and the Florida Walk canal. An investigation determined that he had been involved in a struggle with at least one person and was shot multiple times as he attempted to stand up.

Special Officer Young, your brutal, senseless murder was a despicable crime and not knowing if your killer ever paid the price is depressing, though I pray he or she face true justice, if not in this world, then in the next. Thank you for helping to protect one of America's greatest assets, it's railroads.
