Special Agent Jimmie Daniels died from complications as the result of an on-duty injury he sustained on January 11th, 2021, while participating tactical shooting course.

He suffered a torn Achilles tendon while running from the starting line to the shooting line and underwent corrective surgery ten days later. On February 1st, 2021, he developed a blood clot as a result of the injury and suffered a pulmonary embolism.

Special Agent Daniels had served with the United States Department of Justice - Federal Bureau of Investigation for 14 years. He is survived by his wife, children, and mother.

Jimmie was one of my best friends in childhood. We lost touch over the years. I was so shocked and saddened to run across the news of his passing! I have so many amazing memories of him when we were kids! I am heartbroken that I did not get to know the wonderful man he became! My heart goes out to his family!
