Frederick I. Ayoob

Private Frederick Ayoob was struck and killed by a vehicle on New York Avenue at Fort Dix, New Jersey, while assisting with transporting prisoners.

He was riding on the back of the transport truck and jumped to the ground as it came to a stop to pickup tools. A vehicle driving behind the truck could not stop and struck Private Ayoob, causing fatal injuries.

Private Ayoob had served in the U.S. Army for only seven months and was assigned to the 9th Military Police Company. He was survived by his mother.
