Edward H. Fay

Special Agent Edward Fay was shot and killed in the Pullman Yards near 94th Street and Greenwood Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, when he attempted to arrest three men who were burglarizing a freight car.

The men opened fire on Agent Fay, striking him three times. He was taken to a local hospital where he died seven days later.

The subjects were never apprehended.

Agent Fay was survived by his wife, parents, and three siblings.
