Patrolman Leon Moody died from complications of an injury he sustained on July 18th, 1932.
He was assigned to ambulance duty and was removing a patient from the ambulance when he struck his hip on the door. The injury was treated by a police surgeon and, although his condition worsened, he remained on duty.
On September 16th, 1932, he collapsed and was taken to the hospital. He remained at the hospital until passing away from sepsis on September 29th, 1932.
