Add to My HeroesHenry Lee
Constable Henry Lee was shot and killed by a private watchman who was seeking revenge over the shooting of his brother and father by the constable several months earlier.
Two months prior his murder, Constable Lee had gone to serve a felony warrant on a man who was at the home of the watchman's father. When he arrived, the father and brother refused to let Constable Lee enter to serve the warrant, while allowing the wanted man to escape. Someone inside of the home opened fire, wounding Constable Lee. The father and son were both wounded by Constable Lee's return gunfire.
