Samuel Pierce

Patrolman Samuel Pierce was killed in a motorcycle crash when his police motorcycle collided with a vehicle.

He was traveling on Menauhant Road when another vehicle backed onto the road and entered his path, causing a collision. The driver fled the scene but was arrested the next day and charged with negligent operation of a vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.

Patrolman Pierce was a WWI veteran and had served with the Falmouth Police Department for one year. He was survived by his wife and two children.
