Police Officer Steven Hodge was shot and killed by three corrupt police officers whom he had caught stealing evidence from a locker and had planned to turn in.
The shooting occurred shortly after Officer Hodge got to his Lindbergh Bay home from his shift at about 11:30 pm. He was called outside by one of the officers and shot 14 times.
All three men were convicted of his murder and sentenced to life in prison.
Officer Hodge had served with the Virgin Islands Police Department for five years.

At that time you were in PAL and I would let you sit at the front desk and help out. I always knew that you would make a fine Officer, and you did not disappoint us. I surely miss you hanging out at Zone A and our daily talks. Rest in Peace my Brother.
