Deputy Jeffery Bickham was killed when his patrol rolled back and pinned him against another vehicle.

He had marked into service as he left his home but returned to his driveway to retrieve an item from his personal vehicle. As he walked to his vehicle his patrol car rolled down an incline and pinned him between the two vehicles.

When Deputy Bickham failed to arrive at the station or return radio calls, another deputy was dispatched to locate him and found him still pinned between the vehicles.

Deputy Bickham had served with the Washington Parish Sheriff's Department for 3 years. He is survived by his wife and two young daughters.

I miss you sooo much. Memories are that of so many; but mainly when you got a tooth pulled in Bog & we had to drive you home. You always called me your baby sister in law because you thought I’d be it; however my mom wasn’t having that. Lol! You’re so missed by me & my family. They’re last memory was of you doing what you did BEST & that was caring after people: during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 on Harvey Jefferson Rs. You passed out water & made sure the elderly was okay.
I want you to know that your death hurt many & will not gone down in nobody’s hall of fame till your murderer is caught in honor of your name.

I love & miss you; even more so when I visit Angie.
