Warren Calhoun Guerry

Constable Calhoun Guerry was stabbed to death by a 66-year-old robbery suspect who a deputy had transported to his home. The suspect produced a knife and cut him in the neck.

The suspect was executed in the electric chair on November 30, 1946.

Constable Guerry had served with the Berkeley County Magistrate's Court for 15 years. He was survived by his wife and four children.

Constable Guerry's grandson, Major Cecil Guerry, was shot and killed in the line of duty on March 9th, 1994, while serving with the Georgetown Police Department.
