Michael Price

Sergeant Michael Price died after suffering a heart attack while struggling with an inmate at Garden State Youth Correctional Facility in Yardville.

He was attempting to handcuff the inmate when a struggle ensued, and they fell on the floor. Other officers and medical personnel immediately began CPR on Sergeant Price, who was transported to a local hospital. However, he was pronounced dead approximately one hour later.

Sergeant Price was a United States Army veteran and had served with the New Jersey Department of Corrections for ten years. He is survived by his wife and son.

On today, the 25th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
