Patrolman John Tucker was shot and killed shortly before 10:00 pm as he sat in his patrol car running radar.
Two suspects were apprehended three days later. One of the suspects was a former patrolman with the Fort Gay Police Department.
Patrolman Tucker had served with the Fort Gay Police Department for eight years. He was survived by his wife and three children.
