Orville Chancy Trinkle, Jr.

Patrolman Trinkle was killed in a motorcycle accident while he and his partner attempted to catch up to two cars they observed drag racing on Eastern Parkway. As they approached Lydia Street another vehicle turned in front of them, causing both officers to strike her car. The driver stated she saw the emergency lights but thought she had time to pull out.

Patrolman Trinkle was a Korean war veteran and had served with the Louisville Police Department for eight years and was survived by his wife and child.

On today, the 65th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served during the Korean War. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
