Patrolman Frank Stevens died of injuries sustained when he fell in a downtown store at 909 Main Street five days earlier.
He was taken to Menorah Hospital where he died of his injuries.
Patrolman Stevens had served with the Kansas City Police Department for 12 years. He was survived by his wife.
