it’s been 50 years….. I wish you were here. I wish I got to see and meet the wonderful man you were. I wonder how different my life would’ve been if you were alive. would I have been happier? would I have amazing memories around holidays? I wish you were alive so you could’ve seen what i’ve accomplished. would you be proud ? I hope i’m making you proud, I’m trying so hard. You would love my boyfriend Bryan, he works in law enforcement as well, he is such a gentleman and takes such good care of me. My mother told me to make sure I find a man like my father and I truly think I did. Do you see my dad? Is he just like you ? I have always wondered that….. only because i’m just like my dad …… and to know that he may be just like you helps me feel like in a way i’m just like you too grandpa…. I wish you were here to see my achievements. Your son ….. my father…. is an amazing man…. you would be so proud…. he is so smart, kind, funny, supportive, selfless, and the best dad In the entire world. I hope you see us…. I hope you’re proud. I always looked at your picture in my house growing up wondering about the man you were… never getting to hear stories because my dad was too young to remember anything about you….. seeing all of these stories about you from all the people who love you….. makes me realize we may be lot a like after all….. my dad and I get it from you ! I love you grandpa…. i hope you’re resting easy watching over me…. watch over my dad too…. send him signs….. make sure he knows you’re there… he needs you.
