like most officers i remember felix had a warped sense of humor to help deal with enough tragedy to last a lifetime. he helped me too with that humor when we worked together. although i was not home when he was killed, i was saddened to learn of his death. the greatest insult to the k.p.d and his loved ones, was probation for the d.w.i. who took his life. a cop killer who should have done years in prison got away with it and just went home. what is wrong with the criminal justice system? felix could have been anybody's loved one that night. he won't be forgotten by the old timers who spent so many hours along side him to keep kingsville safe in a very difficult time in the town's history.
