Auxiliary Officer Arthur Reifeis died one week after being struck by a vehicle while directing traffic at 46th and Meridian streets.
The driver who struck him was charged with reckless driving.
Auxiliary Officer Reifeis had served with the Indianapolis Police Department for seven years. He was survived by his wife, daughter and four sons.
