Constable James Rawleigh succumbed to injuries sustained on September 6th, 1936, when he was struck by a vehicle while investigating an accident at the Mossdale Y.
Before succumbing to his injuries both of his legs had to be amputated due to the injuries they sustained.
Constable Rawleigh was survived by his wife.
