K9 Chico, Maybe your reason for jumping was your ingrained drive to be on guard and protect your partner at all times, with the door opening being a trigger for you to act. The unspeakable evil is that the driver involved failed to stop! Maybe their conscience will cause them, at the very least, to investigate what they hit that day. Meanwhile, let your partner's heart know you are in the arms of your Creator, Who is more than able to carry you and welcome you home! Enjoy your well earned reward as one of the top heroes in Heaven.

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families of our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a Law Enforcement K9 Partner and family member in the Line-of-Duty, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer for America's Fallen K9 Law Enforcement Partners. In Christ Jesus' mighty and holy name, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.
