Reflections for K9 Archer
The First & The Last
The first to sense the hostility of a suspect,
The first to react to protect his master,
The first to enter where danger lurks,
The first to detect the hidden intruder.
The first to take action against violence.
The first to sense his master’s joy.
The first to know his master’s sorrow or fear.
The first to give his life in defense of his master.
The last to be forgotten by those who work with others like him.
They know him as a “Partner”, not just an animal.

K9 Archer, It was impossible for your partner to know the full effect of the heat. He addressed your distress immediately and did all the right things to bring your relief. It was God's timing to take you home. You are the reason that all criminal offenders, who's actions lead to the passing of a K9 Officer, be tried on the same parallel as one who takes the life of a human officer. Only your partner can speak out for you, and only your partner and department understand your pure dedication to perform your best, under all circumstances at all times and nothing less. Enjoy your well deserved rest and may God send peace and comfort to your partner, department and family. You are beautiful in all ways. There is a star glowing in the Heavens for you.

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families and law enforcement agencies of our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of an American Law Enforcement K-9 Partner and family member in the Line-of-Duty, help us to provide comfort and support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief and mourning, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. In Christ Jesus' mighty and holy Name, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.
A Holy Scripture Verse of Comfort and Hope from the Law Enforcement Officer's Bible:
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." [Matthew 5:4 CSB]
