K-9 Bonnie, We never expect that God will take you home sooner than we think He should. Beautiful girl, you were taken just as you were serving in the very job you were destined to perform! Your partner can know that out of billions of dogs throughout history, every paw print of yours was directed to serve. The day you are re-united will be glorious! Thank you, girl, for your loyalty and love. May God bless and protect your partner, family and Department.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When a K-9 Officer dies that has been especially close to their partner, that loyal officer goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all K-9 partners so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Her bright eyes are intent. Her eager body quivers. Suddenly she begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, her legs carrying her faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your partner, Bonnie, finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your K-9 partner, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

You were such a brave dog and you will be missed by all who enjoyed having you around. You were such a good girl and now you are gone to police dog heaven to join all the other police dogs that lost their lives in the line of duty. You will look down as other police dogs go out and do their job by risking their lives against dangerous criminals who will stop at nothing to end the life of a police dog.
