Please accept our condolences on the passing of K9 Harlej. He served his handler, department and community with his heart and soul asking for little more than a kind word and a round of play in return. May his selflessness never fade from the memories of those he protected so valiantly.

I’m so sorry for you and your departments loss. This is so hard to take. I’m sure the court system will give this criminal life without or the DP. This stuff needs to stop. RIP Harlej, it’s your turn to rest. I’m also sorry to the partners family. These beautiful and smart animals are also part of the family when off duty. My heart goes out to all involved!!! So sorry.

K-9 Harlej, You gave your life to save your partner, not a moment of hesitation to do your duty. No doubt the sound was deafening as you crossed the Rainbow Bridge - barks, claps and paws up by fellow K-9s and the angels who welcomed you to your eternal home in Heaven! God placed you right where He wanted you down here, knowing you would complete the mission flawlessly where others may have hesitated. May He give your partner great peace and comfort, knowing that because of your sacrifice and love for him, he can continue to "take it from here."
