When we heard Clint over the radio that Rambo got hit, it sounded like he had just watched his own child hit by that car; or his best friend. So much pain in his voice!
You could almost feel it.
I never had the honor to meet him, but those that knew him spoke of him with respect and sadness, grief. He wasn't 'just a dog'; he was one of them. And I know this World will be a lesser place without his guard.
RIP, Rambo. Heaven has gained a worthy Angel. May you protect it as well as you did us. It will be hard for those following your path to fill the paw prints you left behind.
Forever grateful...

A Prayer for K9 Rambo:
Heavenly Father, the Greensboro, North Carolina Police Department was fortunate to receive the gift of K9 Rambo from You. Let us celebrate his accomplishments and remember his years of service as a Certified Law Enforcement Canine. While tracking a Robbery Suspect, K9 Rambo was struck and killed by a vehicle not related to the incident on Friday, August 16, 2019. Now that K9 Rambo has left this life, please help the members of the Greensboro Police Department; his handler, and; his family cope with his loss with strength and courage. May K9 Rambo always be remembered as a trusted colleague who completed his missions with true dedication. Lord God, by Your Word, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! For Scripture promises that all flesh shall see the salvation of God! All dogs do go to heaven, because they have a spirit that epitomizes Your unconditional love. After all, DOG spelt backwards is GOD! Well done, good and faithful servant! Amen.
