It doesn’t get much worse than this. Hopefully the criminal is put away for life. This totally break my heart. I can’t imagine being her partner and trying desperately to save her. I’ve said enough. Again hopefully the criminal that caused this horrific situation is put away, for good. My heart goes out to all involved, especially her handler, partner, best friend. So sorry. RIP Cas. You deserve the best rest possible. So sorry.

Heavenly Father, the Whitley County, Indiana Sheriff’s Office was fortunate to receive the gift of K9 Assuan from You. Let us celebrate her accomplishments and remember her selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty on Wednesday, July 10, 2019. Now that K9 Cas has left this life, please help the members of the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office cope with her loss with strength and courage.
