Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Palm Beach County, Florida Sheriff’s Office and the family, friends, and colleagues of K-9 Cigo, who was shot and killed in the Line-of-Duty on Monday, December 24, 2018. Let us celebrate his accomplishments and remember his selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty. Now that K9 Cigo has left this life, please help the members of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office cope with his loss with strength and courage. May K9 Cigo always be remembered as a trusted colleague who completed his missions with true dedication and the unconditional love he provided his caregivers. Heavenly Father, by Your Word, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! For Scripture promises that all flesh shall see the salvation of God! All dogs do go to heaven, because they have a spirit that epitomizes God’s unconditional love. After all, DOG spelt backwards is GOD! Well done, good and faithful servant!

What a BEAUTY you are! What a HERO!! How heartbreaking that you had to give your life because of a coward gangbanger that does not deserve to breathe the same air as you. Thank you for saving your partner and fellow Officers. I was lucky enough to have my own canine back in the 80's. What a joy it was! I know how your partner must be grieving for you and I hope great memories will help him through.

To Cigo's partner: I am so sorry for your loss. In his picture it appears he was proud and brave. You must have had a special relationship. I know a dog's love is real and that he must have truly loved and respected you.

K9 CIGO You are both an America and Florida Hero and deserving of our prestigious War Dog Medal. You gave the ultimate in sacrifice saving your Deputy Handler/Partner and other deputies on the crime scene. You fought the war on crime; and Palm Beach County citizens slept better for you and your partner were guarding their night. Your Handler will receive this Honor for you soon. What more can a partner do than give his life!! You are now where all the good and Hero dogs go and Angels are singing for you. You wll always be thought of as a Good Boy and Hero and Never will you be forgotten. Rest and Play in Peace Brave and Courageous Hero, always getting your toy, sniffing Heavens Winds, Outwitting the Kongs and knowing what a very Good boy you are.

My heart weeps for Officer K9 Cigo, taken from his partner and law enforcement family of Palm Beach Sheriffs Office while protecting them from evil people, but even after being shot, he instinctively kept doing his job to take down the bad guys, it’s unconditional love along with his duty. I watched the video online of Cigo’s partner going down a line of fellow police officers being consoled and it made me cry, and my heart goes out to Cigo’s partner, I hope you feel comfort
In that people care about you and hurt for you and your brave, loyal and mighty Cigo. Rest easy Cigo, the other K9s are taking it from here and will meet you at
The Rainbow Bridge at a later date.

I loved K9 Cigo and also I love his handler D/S Soriano and all of Palm Beach County Sheriffs office K9. They are my friends and they are brave heroes. Cigo got shot because a bad guy in a gang was shooting at the police and Cigo ran after him and got shot in the lungs and still got the bad guy down and he saved Ryans life and the other police to. He is a hero and loyal even with a bullet in him. Now there is one less good guy to protect us. Rest in peace Cigo I will miss you so much. Love, your friend Jack #jackhasyourback
