This is so sad. My dog side of cancer and it took a while. I swear I could still hear her barking in the backyard. Dogs are truly man's best friend.

I respect and admire law enforcement's commitment to canine law companions. I am also concerned with the DISPROPORTIONATE number of canine deaths due to heat exhaustion and deaths occuring in parole cars, because of a/c malfunction. Dying in the line of duty, as much as it recoils me, is a tragedy, but dogs who due in officers cars due to negligence is a waste of life as well as a travesty of justice in it's own right. I'm APPALLED.
