Bravery. Loyalty. Protecting and serving. That's what it means to be a Law Enforcement Officer and that's what Ogar did. He did what he was trained to do and made the ultimate sacrifice. My heart goes out to his handler, his Agency, his community and all of law enforcement. One loss is a loss for every one of us. Rest in peace, Ogar.

A police dog has left th is world just too soon. His life was taken when a gunman shot and killed him while on a chase. It is a very sad time for the Linesdale Police Department as they mourn the loss of a well respected police dog who was just a year old when he lost his life. I am sure the police department and its K9 unit are mourning the loss of a brave police dog that was to become a great police dog who served his community for the local police department and now he is gone just too soon.

We are so sorry for the loss of this wonderful dog that saved the life of his friend and handler. What a waste of a wonderful dog. Words will never be enough to take the sadness and empty hole left in all those that loved this wonderful dog. Some people may say why the fuss. He was just a dog. But animals such as this do feel and love and K9 Ogar did love by giving his life for his friend and others in the community. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him and loved him. But maybe this terrible act was not entirely in vain because this does bring attention and appreciation to everyone that police officers and their wonderfully trained dogs are here to protect the people of this community and everywhere they are needed.

K9 Ogar it's sad that we lost you to that fool who shot you. I'm praying that justice will bring some closure to your best freind and handler. I know that you will be missed, but it was God who wanted you to come up and play with the children and to run free over the Rainbow Bridge. God Bless you little puppy.

I'm so sorry for your departments loss, and a specially his partner/handler, this is heartbreaking and I'm sure the criminal will be caught very soon, if he hasn't already. Wish I had something stronger to say, but when this happens it hurts everyone!!! I'm so sorry.
