So sad. This is a tragedy that should never have happened and now its happening more often than not. Something needs to change so that these precious commodities, partners, life friends should not have to endure this. They are our protectors! Treat them as such. Love them, pet them, watch over them as they do us. Rest in Peace Jimmy my boy. You have done your duty for us all.

Jimmy, You truly were the "Plug and Play" canine. Watching you and Travis learn and grow was an invaluable experience for me. I know that the time you spent with Travis has made him a better Deputy and canine handler. Rest in peace Jimmy. You will be missed.

A K9 is not a pet, and not just man's best friend. A K9 is a partner, a protector, and confidant. This loss if felt across the force.

My condolences to Deputy Travis Brunner on your loss. I am sure Jimmy was outstanding as a partner and friend. I know how your heart greives for him at this time. Know that he is safe at the bridge. He is not gone Travis, just gone ahead. He is making the way safe for those who will follow.
When you feel the sun on your face, the breeze on a cool summer day, a gentle nudge and find nothing there, Know that Jimmy is there watching over you and he has not forgotten you and the love you shared.
I hope you find peace in this time of need, and that God had a different plan for Jimmy. He is now a servant of God and is doing what he was trained for in the hands that will guide him until you both meet again. IMO K-9 Atak Arnado
