Aw man, poor guy. I shudder to think of how confused and terrified the heroic pooch must've been after accidentally ingesting such a dirty drug that renders fully grown humans aggressive and delusional. I hope that at the animal hospital they were able to administer something to calm him down in his final moments.

So sad. This is a tragedy that should never have happened and now its happening more often than not. Something needs to change so that these precious commodities, partners, life friends should not have to endure this. They are our protectors! Treat them as such. Love them, pet them, watch over them as they do us. Rest in Peace Barney my boy. You have done your duty for us all.

A K9 is not a pet, and not just man's best friend. A K9 is a partner, a protector, and confidant. This loss if felt across the force.
Barney, you have done your duty. Rest easy now. We have the watch from here.

This is so sad. Doing what he was trained to do. Wish there was something like Narcan to help the K9's when something like this happens.

Barney, you will be remember I'm sure as great drug dog and for those evil men that left that out probably for a K-9
to smell it and the drug to go thru their system they meant to hurt or kill a K-9. So I hope that your partner does not hurt to long because you are going to be his angel, So God bless you Chief Donald Ramsdell and all of your Officers and K-9's. And Barney's Partner too and his family.

Barney, God speed to you as you reach the rainbow bridge. May you know you were loved. Thank you for your years of bravery and valued service. My heart goes out to your partner who's heart must of broken when you drew your last breath. Hang on and be strong, Barney expects you to continue on and lock them up in his memory. Your mission is not complete. Barney's was and God called him home.
