K9 Police Officer Sultan, you gave your life that fateful day so your two legged partner and others could live. There are no more "bad guys" to catch so go run free and play over the Rainbow Bridge, with all of your new four legged friends. To your two legged partner and all of the others at the Riverside County Sheriff's Department stay strong. RIP Buddy

Our precious K-9 Deputy Sultan, thank you for your service and protection that you have given to all of us in the San Jacinto/ Hemet community. We will miss seeing you and your partner patrolling the streets of San Jacinto everyday. You did your job on that January 21st afternoon and probably saved many lives while one man made the decision to take yours. He took you from us physically but his horrible actions will never take from us the deep respect and love that this community has for you. You will forever be remembered and loved. Many condolences to your partner and best friend, Officer Matthews. Sultan will forever be in all of our hearts. San Jacinto has a forever HERO.

Gee, this must have been one cool dog from what I witnessed on the local news, officer's who had acquainted themselves Sultan sure poured their hearts out with great dignity and enormous gratitude for honor to have known Sultan for his short life here on planet earth. Best rest assure he is sitting pretty in heaven right now. Peace be with the handler and know this feeling of sadness will soon pass! Sultan would want it like that,I'm sure.

Words cannot express how much I will miss you Sultan. For just over the past year you have been there for us when needed and called upon. I am so proud and honored that I was able to train with you regularly and be involved in your first four apprehensions. I will miss you running up to me in the office to get pets and helping you continue your training.
You served your community and Dep. Wallace with bravery and vigor. I truly believe your actions saved a deputy from getting shot. For that you will always be remembered as a hero. You have touched us deeply at the station, department, and community. We love you Sultan. Rest in peace.
