Pepper,
Your comrades in the Wise County Sheriff's Office are honoring you and grieving the loss of a brave warrior. I stopped by today and saw your mobile unit covered in flowers and notes. You will never be forgotten....we thank you and your colleagues for putting your lives on the line every day to protect the citizens of Wise County....and we support our Sheriff and Deputies in what they were forced to do. We hurt with them tonight and mourn your loss, brave one. We know they are also hurting because someone made the choice of opening fire on you and fellow officers....they were forced to do what they had to do in the moment to protect. RIP, Pepper

Pepper, you were a brave dog who went after criminals of all sorts untill one took your life. You will be missed by all who knew you and appreciated you. It is a very sad day for all the Canine Officers who go out and catch criminals as they mourn your loss along with your human counterparts. You have gone up to join other police dogs who have lost their lives in the line of duty. I am sure you are in good hands as St. Peter welcomes you with open arms along with your canine commorades as you enter through those pearly gates. You will be missed.

I'm sorry to hear of such a loss to your community. This dog who was more than a dog was doing his duty as all officers do. And thank God that an officer wasn't killed along side him. I pray that justice will succeed and that this man will face a long stamp behind bars for taking such an animal away from the community. He may be gone but he will not be forgotten.
