Rocco, Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart for your service and protection to our brothers and sisters in Pittsburg. You demonstrated that whether you have 2 legs or 4, the fighting spirit of a Police Officer burns bright & lives in all of us who wear a badge. You are a hero!!!!! I have spent the last several minutes looking at your tributes and YouTube videos. You were an exceptional Officer and you deserve to be honored forever. May The Good Lord pet you and receive you with open arms to your new home and place amongst the peace makers. Goodnight buddy.

K9 Police Officer Rocco you gave your life to save your two legged partner and another officer such a valiant act. You did your job not for the money but a simple scratch behind the ears and a "Good Boy" from your partner. You are now in a place that you and the other dogs will feel no pain and you will be able to play and run all day. You will be missed by all. To your two legged partner and the other officer stay strong.

K9 Rocco you are the true heros who are tasked with protecting your handler and your fellow peers. The loss of a dog is like lhe loss of a family member. I strongly feel the the suspect need to be charged with murder of a Police Officer.

My heartfelt sympathies to Officer Rocco's family and friends. Losing a dog is like losing a child. The bond between man and dog is stronger that words can say. The love, devotion and loyalty that is required for this relationship is one that will forever be in your hearts. This beautiful boy did the job he was trained to do, and protected his owner and friends to the fullest extent that he could. He is a hero and a model for all K-9's. His loyalty and bravery will certainly earn him a place at God's table. He now is living free and out of pain, and preparing a place for his loved ones for when they come home to him again. I cannot express enough how sad I am to hear this tragedy take place yet again in our city. I will pray for all of you and ask God to give you strength, courage and understanding during this time. We all have to answer for our sins someday, and so will the criminal who did this. Thank you for your service and for your personal sacrifice for all of us that live here. Please stay safe and May God Bless you!

Rest in peace Rocco. Thank you for your service. Enjoy the rainbow bridge, playing with your other brothers in blue. You will be reunited with your Officer some day. I pray for his comfort and peace until that day. Good boy! Your K9 brothers will watch over your officer now and take good care of him. Just like you did.

Rocco,
You died protecting your partners.
Every cop puts on the badge knowing that they may have to do what you did. It is our job, to run towards danger while everyone else runs away.
Not every cop can do what you did, but we all hope that we will, when the moment comes. You gave your life for your partners, and I cannot think of anything more noble, more valorous, more honorable, or more heart-breaking.
Thanks, brother. You're an example to us all.
