(Human) Officers make the decision to serve and risk life or limb, but the decision is made for the Canine Officers. To these wonderfully trained and handled animals your sacrifices are even more heart warming.

This is another illustration that the dog is indeed man's best friend. I do not know the specifics of this incident, but i do know that many dogs, without a moment of hesitation, will & have given their own life to save their master' life.
Now kilo is happy as he frolics with many other dogs, awaiting that day that he will cross The Rainbow Bridge with his master into eternity.

Kilo....You were a great partner buddy. You and Nathan could not be separated. What a Great K9. I remember when it was time to pick a dog. You came out and impressed us all. Great Ball Drive and all. I picked Dudley and Nathan picked you, just because you had too much hair for me. I remember walking Dudley around that day and looking over at you and Nate. I was a little jealous. I keep repeating this. But I do believe you were the Best of the Best. I would never had said it in front of Dudley, but you were great. How close you were to being my partner. You had a great partner and risked your life for him. You took that Bullet for him. Nathan and his family will always remember that. I could probably go on and on. I wont. Just know you were Great and you will Never Be Forgotten. RIP KILO.
