Officer Ape,
Wow, how pretty you were. You were a hero...going in when most would run out. Thanks for your sacrifice. My prayers are with your handler and all who knew & loved you. Enjoy the beautiful, soft, green meadows that you now call home.

You have guarded our backs, always with that pleasure to please. We have trusted you even when we had our own doubts, and you prevailed. Thanks for never showing fear when there was fear and always going the extra mile no matter what the call was. You will be missed, you will never be replaced. Go and romp in that great puppy heaven, play with the ball and roll on your back forever. You earned it partner.

I've never had the pain that you're going through by losing a partner but I can share a part of that pain with you in hoping that it will help to ease your pain. I to am a handler and I don't wish that on anyone.
My thoughts and prayers are with you the officer and your family.

Guardians Of The Night
Trust in me my friend for I am
your comrade. I will protect you
with my last breath When all
others have left you And the
loneliness of the night closes
in, I will be at your side.
Together we will conquer all
obstacles, And search out
those who might wish harm to
others. All I ask of you is
compassion, The caring touch
of your hands. It is for you that I
will unselfishly give my life And
spend my nights unrested.
Although our days together
May be marked by the passing
of the seasons Know that each
day at your side is my reward.
My days are measured by The
coming and going of your
footsteps. I anticipate them at
every opening of the door. You
are the voice of caring when I
am ill. The voice of authority
when I've done wrong.
Do not chastise me unduly For
I am your right arm, The sword
at your side. I attempt to do
only what you bid of me. I seek
only to please you and remain
in your favor.
Together you and I shall
experience A bond only others
like us will understand When
outsiders see us together Their
envy will be measured by their
disdain.
I will quietly listen to you And
pass no judgment, Nor will your
spoken words be repeated I will
remain ever silent, Ever vigilant,
ever loyal. And when our time
together is done And you move
on in the world Remember me
with kind thoughts and tales,
For a time we were unbeatable,
Nothing passed among us
undetected.
If we should meet again on
another street I will gladly take
up your fight, I am a Police
Working Dog and together We
are guardians of the night.

May you rest in peace Officer Ape. You gave your own life to save your brothers, no one will ever forget that. As you cross over the Rainbow Bridge to join St. Francis and all the other brave K9s, enjoy running and playing, we will take the watch from here.
Please please let's get our 4 legged Officers bullet proof vest just as we have. Give them the same fighting chance since they will go in first, no questions asked, and die for us. God Bless You SWeetheart.

I've already sent my condolences for K9 Ape and his handler. My heart is heavy with mourning him, equally with my two labs. Forever in my heart, Ape. Now i blow 3 kisses to heaven every night and say 3 "i love you's"! To those reading this: please leave a reflection for K9 Maxo. He and his handler deserve condolences too. I don't think Maxo's as well known to the public because of the nature of his work. He is a good and brave hero, as well!

Ape, in your short life you saved lives of others. I pray you did not suffer long. I pray St. Francis of Assisi stroked your fur as you were transitioning from this world to the next. I pray your tragedy brings change and every K-9 in service will be equipped with their own bullet-proof vest. Your life mattered greatly to us. Thank you Ape. Run fast and far through your heaven.
