Reflections for K9 Kody
Thank you for your service Kody. My thoughts and prayers go out to the St. Paul PD and especially your handler and their family. I had the honor of growing up with a police K-9 and it breaks my heart to hear this story. Kody gave the ultimate sacrifice to his family and city and that is something that will never be forgotten. RIP Kody

My husband sent me this link asking me to see if this was the same Kody we had watched on tv. While this is a sacrifice I'm sure he would make over and over for his fellow officers this is such a sad event and I hope everyone he touched may find some peace in knowing that he was a true hero in life and will remain a hero in the hearts of many.

Police K9's are just that, Police Officers just like the rest of us. They are there to support, back and protect their partners just as we all have sworn to do. K9 Kody gave the ultimate sacrafice while performing the duties he was trained to do and for that we will all be forever indebted.
My condolences go out to the officers of the St. Paul Police Department for the loss of one of their own, especially his partner for they were inseperable. May you now rest in peace in he arms of God for you have already served your time in hell.
As you guard the gates of heaven remember that you will be missed but never forgotten.

You have guarded our backs, always with that pleasure to please. We have trusted you even when we had our own doubts, and you prevailed. Thanks for never showing fear when there was fear and always going the extra mile no matter what the call was. You will be missed, you will never be replaced. Go and romp in that great puppy heaven, play with the ball and roll on your back forever. You earned it partner.

What a terrible, senseless way for any officer, human or K9, to go. Kody died in the line of duty, a hero, defending his fellow officers from a vile, horrible cop-killer. I am saddened to hear this news, and forever grateful for the courage, hard work, and strength of character that K9's and their human partners must demonstrate during every tour. God bless you, Kody, and god bless his surviving partner and fellow officers during this tragic time.

You, like so many others before you, run towards the threat and not away from it giving your life to protect those you love and serve.
My thoughts and prayers go out to your handler, his family and the department as a whole.
You will be missed.

Many call them just dogs, we call them partners, but more importantly family. With the loss of any police officer comes a time of sorrow and with the loss of such a courageous K9 as Kody there is no exception. Kody made the ultimate sacrifice defending his family and making the apprehension of a violent criminal. One that would have had no hesitation in murdering the family of police officers he had the courage to defend. It is with the greatest admiration and sorrow that I submit this statement of condolences to the St. Paul Police Department and its members. K9 Kody your tour of duty is over here on earth. Be so ever vigilant as you join those who have gone before you as you guard Heaven’s Gate! There is a reason I have chosen the following quote from an unknown author and Kody’s courage and devotion reflects it.
“Where Angels Fear to Fly, K9 Leads the Way!”
God Bless you Kody, Rest in Peace!
