Having lost a K9 partner many years ago, I understand the loss felt by Koda´s partner and the entire law enforcement community. What gave me strength was reading and rereading RAINBOW BRIDGE, knowing we would be together again someday. As a dog handler myself, I know that there is no greater partner that is more willing to lay down their lives to protect us. They train hard and work harder. They bring us laughs, they bring us frustration at times, but most of all they bring us safety. Enjoy your run over the rainbow bridge Koda and RIP. I am so sorry for your loss. Having worked for a police dept. for 31 years, I formed a big bond with the K-9s as I am an animal lover. But K-9s are so much more than animals. They are a part of a police family and a family. There needs to be more severe charges for killing a K-9. God is playing with Koda right now and loving him. My sincere condolences to all.
