To the leon county sheriffs office and the handler of koda,rest assured koda is running in the peaceful fields of heaven which are reserved for these special k9s until reunited with their handler.
He gave his life doing a job he loved and a job not just anyone can do,I feel your pain for I to lost my k9 partner in the line of duty

I have often envied my brothers behind the badge that had K-9 partners. I was never lucky enough to serve as a K-9 officer/handler, but used them on dozen's of occasions-always with the best results. No one is ever as loyal as a dog. I am glad the Deputies are safe-that's a K-9's job, to take a bullet meant for one of us....but it doesn't make it any easier for his handler. Well done partner, a job well done, rest easy now. We got this from here...

I am always worried for the K9 when he is being called to duty whether it is in Law Enforcement or in the Armed Services. My heart bleeds for those who lose their lifes and for the Handlers.

I am so sorry. My condolences to the lead officer. I know K-9 Officer Koda will be missed. He was faithful and served and executed his duties to the best of his ability.
