Reflections for K9 Ando
Still think about that amazing dog and to this day, one of the best I’ve ever been around.

Ando was one bad*$$ K9. His handler was (and still is) a bad@$$ too. I've been around working K9's as a trainer and handler since 1993 and Ando is still in the top 3-4 dogs I've ever seen and/or had the experience to work with. He was even the namesake for one of my personal dogs, also one of the best dogs I've ever been around. Rest in Peace, Ando; you're in some great company.
No rank, no name; silent professional.

K9 Ando, thank you for your extreme brave and loyal service. An "officer" with your dedication will truely be missed. I don't know what your killer's sentence was, but i hope it was Life. RIP brave Ando.... at the Rainbow Bridge.

I think it’s very honorable that ODMP has created a page for our K-9 partners. I was the second patrol involved in the pursuit that night, back when I worked for LaGrange P.D., Georgia. I truly believe Ando (and his handler, Officer Jim Davison) saved my life that night because if it had been me searching deep into the woods that night, it could have been me that was killed instead of Ando.
