Reflections for K9 Ricky
Such a tragic event that ended the life of a great Officer and his trusty K9 Ricky. The City lead a processional of Police Cars in an event to display their grief at the loss. I had two dogs at the time and walked them down to the steps of the "Old" Police station on the east edge of the highway to pay our respects. My dogs were usually distracted and pulling and rambunctious. When that processional went by...they both sat quietly. There was barking taking place inside one of the Police Cars that passed. We all looked at each other. The tears welled in my eyes. God Speed Corporal Szuba and K9 Ricky.
