Reflections for K9 Urk
From being a current criminal justice student with Former Sheriff's Deputy Dan Settle, this dog will be on my mind. He is said to have been, and I quote, "The best dog ever". I only wish I could have ever met him.

I was the Explorer in this incident. There are a few errors in the recount of our situation. I would be more than willing to provide a more accurate account of the incident. Urk was the absolute best K9 I have ever seen. He was in the fight until until he couldn’t.

Thank you officer Urk for being brave and for protecting my community. It’s been a few years since that horrible night but I will never forget it. I heard the gunshots as I was asleep in my breeze hill condo. I saw the car still sitting in the roadway with the lights on. That is where your life was taken. I went to your memorial service to show my respect for you and your fellow officers. May you Rest In Peace and never be forgotten. Thank you for your service.
Respectfully,
Kim

No words can describe the feelings of losing someone you love. By all the stories I have heard about urk I couldn't even try to describe the feelings you have felt. He was the best dog that anyone could ever have and sorry couldn't cut it. Sorry doesn't bring him back but just know that he will forever and always be with you cause he loved you more then anything and he could be your guardian angle because he was your guardian angle his entire life and forever and always will stay as your guardian angle
