K9 Jinx was shot and killed when responding to a call of a person brandishing a firearm at the 900 block of Manitou Avenue in Manitou Springs at 11 p.m.
When El Paso County Sheriff's Office deputies and Manitou Springs Police Officers arrived on the scene, shots were exchanged. Jinx was killed on the scene.
The suspect was shot and killed.

View all 29 ReflectionsI did a google search of Jinx, as I am having a hard day with missing him. It has been 7 months since we lost our sweet boy and the pain is ever so raw, like it was yesterday. Coming across this site and reading all the kind reflections, brought me a bit of comfort, even though I cried reading them all. I'm not sure if any of you will see this, but I want to say THANK YOU for taking the time to leave kind words and prayers for our family. We miss our Jinx so much and we are doing all we can to keep his memory alive. He was the bestest boy and a true hero!!!
