 | Police Officer John McKenna St. Louis Police Department Missouri Friday, April 7, 1916 |
I stop by the Chief's Office about once or twice a week where Uncle John and other City Officers who have died in the line of duty are displayed. Also there is a book called "In the Line of Duty". In it is all the same officers and the story of their death. I turn the page to John's everytime I come and go.
I represnt the 6th generation of our family to serve as Saint Louis City Police Officers. Being a Police Officer and representing my family has been the proudest point in my life.
I was very suprised to see all the reflections and thank each of you for taking to the time to recognize John for his sacrifice.
Take care and stay safe!

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003).
We all grieve over the lives lost in the line of duty. I hope you can find some comfort knowing that there are countless prayers that go out for your family.
Officer McKenna, you are remembered on this date of your death. You will always be remembered.
These are senseless tragedies that never seem to stop. God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.
