Officer Cornelius, 88 years ago, you gave your life in the service of the Santa Fe Railway. America’s Railroads are one of our country’s most vital resources and women and men like you are needed to keep them safe and secure. You are a hero for your efforts. The fate of the scum who attempted to rob you is not mentioned, but we can only hope that they faced true justice, if not in this life, then in the next for their crimes.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today on the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
