Sheriff Klutz, Kim Weigand Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. Losing him will be something that we'll all feel for sometime and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. I will never forget Adam and I will miss his laugh. I will also miss the joy he brought to church everytime he entered. I will alway remember how proud he looked in his police uniform. Adam always made me feel safe.
