Thirteen months you have been gone, not a day goes by that we don't talk to you or about you. I pray for the strength to get through each and every day, people say that over time the pain will lessen, I don't know if that is possible. I know you will continue to watch over us forever. We love you!

Rich,

Thought about you all day yesterday.
So many of us are still suffering inside, we hide it on the outside not letting anyone know.
But you see our pain, please help us through this.

Rich,

Your missed so much. It's hard to believe this month will be a year since you were taken from us.

Your 40th Birthday party was nice, I know you were smiling down on everyone. Nicole and Lauren are getting so big and Lauren (little Rich) looks more and more like you every day. Kelly is doing a really good job with the girls, she has such strength. I know you will continue to watch over them from above.

Rest in Peace Rich!

I never knew Sergeant Richard Findley personally, or even at all, but I distinctly remember watching his funeral from a far, while on my way to work in the morning. I live very close to the funeral home.
I recognize that being a police officer is a tough job, and a job that I recently am starting to conceive a career interest in.

I wanted to learn more about him and I happened to come across this website. This is a great website.

Rich,

It's been 9 months that you have been gone. It seems like it was just yesterday. The overwhelming sadness is still so fresh. We can't talk about the day you were killed - it's too painful.

Sadly 3 more officers were killed in the line of duty this weekend in California, by a thug that should have never been put back on the streets. I know exactly what those officers families and friends will be going through and I pray for them.

We do find joy in talking about the funny things you used to do and how you loved to laugh and also make people laugh. Your girls are hanging in there and as you know the police department family and fire department family is making sure of that. Your girls have become an extended part of all of our families. We will continue to watch over them, like you have done for so many of us.

RIP

IT HAS BEEN JUST OVER 8 MONTHS SINCE YOU WERE TAKEN FROM ALL OF US THAT LOVED YOU. TIME DOES GO BY TO FAST BECAUSE I STILL THINK YOU ARE GONNA JUST WALK INTO THE FIREHOUSE, AND YOU DON'T. I KNOW THERE ARE A LOT OF LITTLE MIRICALS THAT YOU LEFT BEHIND, AND WE THANK YOU FOR THE ONE YOU HAVE LEFT FOR US. WE MISS YOU BROTHER AND ALWAYS WILL HAVE A HOLE WHERE YOU ONCE WERE.
