Officer Whatley your work on this Earth as we know it is now done. You are in God's Hands now brother. May you rest in peace. SGT. Daryl Brewer As a former NC Trooper who was assigned to Troop G in what is now District VI and who worked in Graham County, I take this opportunity on the 60th anniversary of the death of this good Trooper to say to the spirit of Trooper Thomas Whatley: Your heroic service to the people and State of North Caroilna is not forgotten, nor will it ever be. People talked highly of you 22 years ago when I was a rookie Trooper working Bryson City and Robbinsville. Your untimely death is still mourned. God bless your surviving family.
