Your great grandchildren deeply appreciate the sacrifice you made to protect the people of St. Louis. Although Eddie Linehan, a notorious gang member, was suspected of executing you, he never was charged. Your grandson, my father, P.O. John B. Anderson was inspired by your service to join the St. Louis Police Department and served for more than 30 years. He died in 1978. Great granddaughter Barbara K.
