Reflections for Trooper Kyle Patrick Barber
It is always sad to see a young fellow Carolinian pass away so soon when there was so much promise in deeds yet to be done for our State and its people. Equally sad is when that young man is a member the Long Grey Line of Troopers who selflessly serve to protect the Citizens of our State come sun, rain, sleet or snow, chasing criminals down or helping a stranded motorist. They never shirk their duty even at the cost of their own lives if necessary..
Rest well, young man, in our Lord's loving arms, and then arise to take your place among all of your Law Enforcement Brothers who form the Honor Guard of our God.
May God grant you Peace.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.
Rest In Peace.
