Trooper Jones was responding with lights and siren when another car pulled out in front of him. He swerved to avoid a collision and struck a tree, killing him instantly of massive injuries.
Trooper Jones had served with the Indiana State Police for nearly three years and was assigned to the Pendleton post. He was a veteran of the US Army Special Forces during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was survived by his wife, three sons and daughter. |
