View all 160 ReflectionsThis year hits a little different than the rest....the years haven't gotten any longer, the pain doesn't hurt any less. But something about this 8th year has me walking through the same fog I was on this day in 2017! I had just started recalling things lately from after your death that I had no memory of. But today everything feels off without again. I guess there will never be any year of losing you that doesnt feel off balance in someway. Losing you has been the hardest thing I've ever gone through in my life and I miss you son more than words could ever explain. Life without you in it changed our entire family. They say it only takes one strong root to become damaged to destroy a family. Our family took two hits with you and Papaw gone and now that family tree is no more. I pray you are surrounded by our loved ones and are standing in glory with God on a sunset covered back forty. I love you and I'll be seeing you.....Mom
